Requirements and composition of bolted truss

May 09, 2019

The main advantage of the bolted truss when it is used is that the rod is mainly subjected to tensile force and pressure. To a certain extent, the material can be fully utilized, material is saved, structural weight is reduced, and commonly used steel trusses, reinforced concrete trusses, prestressing Concrete trusses, wooden trusses, steel and wood trusses, steel and concrete trusses.

Bolt trusses are generally rigid nodes rather than ideal articulated joints. The bending stress and axial stress of the bars due to the influence of joint stiffness are called secondary stresses. The calculation of the secondary stress requires consideration of the axial deformation of the member, which can be solved by the method of statically indeterminate structure or the finite element method.

The bolt truss is mainly composed of several plane trusses, which can be used to calculate the component of the same plane as the truss according to the plane truss, or the finite element method according to the space hinged rod system. According to the materials used in the truss members and the calculated internal forces, the selection of the appropriate section should ensure the overall rigidity and stability of the truss and the strength and local stability of the members to meet the requirements of use.

The overall stiffness of the bolt truss is ensured by controlling the maximum vertical deflection of the truss not exceeding the allowable deflection; the out-of-plane stiffness of the planar truss is poor and must be guaranteed by the support system. The support system has a winding support, a lower chord support, a vertical support and a truss to form a space stabilization system.
